I have been with the same cell phone provider for 9 years! That almost seems unheard of in my circle of friends. Some of you (I will call you The Happy People) are nodding along while thinking of how many wonderful years you’ve been with yours. The rest of you may have switched a few times over the years due to a variety of reasons. Perhaps you were shopping for a better deal or maybe you had a nasty customer service issue.
The reason I have chosen to stay with my provider is simple. I’m a happy
customer member. I’ve never had an issue that wasn’t resolved efficiently through a quick phone call, I’ve always been happy with the price and what is included in the various plans I’ve gone through over the years and they have always had a large assortment of phone choices, including the latest and greatest. Plus, their Customer Member Service team is beyond fantastic and positive… I swear they must have their employees on a constant drip of Red Bull and ice cream.

Virgin Mobile came to Canada in 2005 and shortly after their arrival, I signed up with their Prepaid service. I was a new mom who had recently moved back to Ontario from the East Coast and was in the market for a new cell phone to have on hand for emergencies, to reach my husband when I wasn’t home or as an additional contact number for my son’s daycare to reach me. There was no data and texting was still done by pressing the number keys but it gave me such piece of mind.
I was so happy with the service that my husband and parents all followed suit (and are still all Virgin Mobile Members today). As technology advanced and I began to depend on my phone more, I signed up for a proper plan about 5 years ago. I had a fancy new phone, all the data and talk time I could ever need and it was all within my budget. Who could ask for more?
I won’t bore you with the details, you’re smart and can take a look at their website to figure that all out. However it helps to know that Virgin Mobile has great member perks and are always adding more.

Personally, I’m really crossing my fingers to win tickets to the advanced screening of Cinderella in England! What a trip that would be.
