It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The kids have gone back to school and fall is in full swing.

This is a big year for our oldest – he applies to his high school concentrations this year. Where we live, high school begins in Grade 7. Next year he moves on to another school which will mean a big change in our routine for sure my kids will no longer be going to the same school. For now, we’ll go to the information nights and he will get to choose which programs he wants to apply for.

With high school looming, and after school activities, our family doesn’t have the same opportunities for time to spend together. Often when I suggest family activities it’s even met with a groan!! Kids!!

One thing that never produces a negative reaction is suggesting we all watch a movie or TV show together. I cherish our family time cuddling on the couch.

This month Netflix has some awesome suggestions for family-friendly programming every member will enjoy.

If your kids are like mine and enjoy anything interactive, try out this Netflix family movie night bingo game. It’s easy to use – just print a card for each family member and try to spot the things or actions which commonly happen in movies (i.e. shopping, crying, magic, etc). Mark off your squares and the first one to get “BINGO” wins! You could have physical prizes, or like my family, the winner gets to choose the movie next time. 🙂  You can also create your own show specific bingo card using the blank template provided in the link above.

On deck this weekend – Zootopia! (we’ve already seen it twice)
